**I'm a community engagement specialist promoting and sharing details regarding the launch of an Assisted Exercise program that is being offered to individuals living with acquired brain injury - stroke, TBI, etc., who would otherwise not have an opportunity for exercise. By "assisted" we normally provide some type of accessible equipment (nustep and harness w. treadmill), and we also have an intern with the person one-on-one for a full hour. That intern is overseen by one of our trainers. We have a normal class max size of 5 people. A majority of our clients are also low income so for them we charge affordable prices. We may start a private pay rate but are not there yet. Live Well fitness program is currently a pilot, however, if it works we do plan on expanding the number of people we can serve. Limit spots available at Marblehead YMCA, Brain Injury Wellness Center in Lexington, the Center for Balance, Mobility and Wellness at Gordon College in an Assisted Exercise program.
