About Freda

I am a recent graduate of Smith College, a top private liberal arts college in MA. I studied American History and Art, previously Economics. I have previous experience in the national America Reads / Counts program serving preschool, 3rd & 4th grade (critical stages of development). In high school I served as a peer writing mentor; in college I served as a Museum Educator for grades K-12 studying art through collaborative and project based learning methods. I am currently working as a Vocational Rehab Assistant where I use my past tutoring experience on a regular basis in Math and English especially, as well as job training and confidence building by identifying skills and mock interviews. I feel confident in my tutoring abilities in a wide range of subject particularly the humanities and pre-college level math. My aim is for the student to understand key concepts using developed lesson plans to further accomplish their goals.
