About Grace

I began volunteering with children during high school, and my passion for early childhood education has only grown since then. I hold a dual degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Psychology from the University of Illinois. During my time at the university, I worked at the University of Illinois Child Development Laboratory, where I gained hands-on experience with children from newborns to preschool age. In addition to my work at the lab, I served as the president of the Illini Mentor Program. This role allowed me to lead a team in mentoring over 80 elementary school-aged children across four different locations. I facilitated a tutoring hour and designed weekly developmentally appropriate programs aimed at promoting socioemotional learning. I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
