About Heleena

Hi! My name is Heleena and I'm currently attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There, I'm double majoring in Psychobiology & English (w/ a concentration in creative writing) & minoring in Ethnomusicology. I am extremely passionate about music and have been playing the Clarinet and Saxophone for about 7 years now. I love driving, writing, music (of course), crafts, teaching, cooking, nature, cultural anthropology, journalism, fashion/clothes, reading kids books, walks, & socializing! After I graduate, I plan on getting TEFL certified and teaching English internationally, before ultimately attending graduate school for English. TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language and refers to English instruction for non-native speakers. I'm a quick learner and am very adaptable. It might be an unpopular opinion, but I enjoy having a lot on my plate. A position like this would provide me with useful insight and experience that I can use post-grad.
