About Ilyasa

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Masters in Secondary Education-English, and a Masters in Special Education with both general and adaptive certifications. I hold an Applied Behavior Analysis Grad Certificate and am TEFL/TOEFL certified. Besides having taught for 21 incredible years, I am also currently the Director of one of Birmingham City School's Community Education After-Care Services where I manage a team of educators and facilitate goal-based intervention programs. I've served others in Assisted Living Facilities and 1:1, served the U. S. Government as a Decennial Census supervisor and worked as the Assistant Branch Manager for a staffing company; I was responsible for providing direct and administrative oversight of employees while also placing daily emphasis on sales and retention. I am a parent of two remarkable young men (33 & 25); on of which has special needs. I am a pet parent of many years. Travel soothes my soul. :)
