About Isabelle

I'd describe my personality as easygoing, creative, and adventurous! I like working with kids because I believe they are the future, and I want positive influence for them. I started working with kids when I was 15. Every summer, I work as a camp counselor for Cancer Bridges in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a week long camp designed for children affected by cancer. When I was born, my dad was diagnosed with stage-3 melanoma and had a 40% chance of survival. Thankfully, he is still with us today, and I have the unique opportunity to relate with kids who have been impacted by a similar situation. I also worked as a swim instructor for over a year! I taught lessons to kids ages 3-14. The swim instructor training came with lifeguard certification, where I learned first aid and CPR. In my spare time, I like to paint, read, go on hikes, and hang out with my cat, Lily. I am going to be a senior next fall at MSU.
