About Jaimie

When I was a student in high school and college, I spent years tutoring students with special needs in the areas of English and Mathematics. Since then, I have received my Master's degree in Special Education and Childhood Education. My most recent position has been teaching sixth grade special education, a remedial reading class, and organization/study skills. I also have experience teaching first grade and second grade special education and general education. I am a huge fan of making learning fun for students and using multi-sensory approaches to help students connect to material, including the use of educational games. Also, my undergraduate degree is in the area of graphic design and fine arts. Therefore, I love to incorporate visuals and illustrations to my instruction and support. My passion is education, and my goal is to help your children love learning as much as I do, which will translate into success in the classroom.
