Hello! I'm currently a student at the US Merchant Marine Academy, and I'd be honored to tutor my favorite subject: math! I am currently ranked top in my class and it all started with a love for math that actually got me into this school. I received an A in every math class I've ever taken, exceeding past SAT (780) and ACT (35) standards. I'm proficient algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics. I'd describe my personality as extroverted, helpful, and determined. I like tutoring because it gives me a sense of purpose and relief when I can see the "aha" moment a student gets after I thoroughly explain a concept. I'm looking for a job that involves a child/student ready to push themselves to explore the endless possibilities of math! I started tutoring when I was in highschool. I've been in several school-led programs where I tutor within the school, but now I want to take it outside of school! In my spare time, I like to swim, play chess, and workout.
