Hello, I'm Jernie, and I started nannying while attending the University of St. Thomas and fell in love with how rewarding it was to foster a happy and safe environment with families that eventually became like my second family. Since graduating I have accepted a job doing research in the Texas Medical Center. Safety is my number one priority when I am with your loved ones. I have experience with infants to toddlers in a full-time setting, and able to make healthy food options for your child/children. I have experience feeding, changing, as well as transporting children to activities and back. My favorite activities to do with kids include completing puzzles, reading books, and if the weather permits playing outside. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis and reading books. Jernie was our morning nanny for a few months in 2019 prior to COVID. We asked for early mornings (545-6am) and she did our morning routine with our 9month old (she woke him up, made him breakfast, and took him to daycare). She was really good with him and would sing him songs when he woke up in the mornings. She was a great help and was invaluable during that crazy time! of note, given the early hours we made sure she lived close by so I could call her if she was running behind and she could come quickly. We were sad to see her go when her school closed with COVID.
