About Jessica

I have 7+ years of childcare experience. I'm the second oldest out of 7 children in my family. My youngest sister just turned 13-years-old and I am 32. I grew up helping my step mother in her elementary school classroom (mainly 1st and 2nd grade). In high school, I signed up to volunteer and I helped out a lot with testing, reading, and studying with her classes. I loved teaching so much, I decided to make this my focus in college. Eventually, I changed my major to nursing in the hopes of specializing in pediatrics. I was a caregiver for a physically disabled woman, my age, with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I was her caregiver for over 4 years and during that time discovered the true definition of compassion. Caring for other people brings me joy and it's what I'm most passionate about!
