About Jessica

Hello! I started working in childcare almost 20 years ago and have been working in the preschool setting on and off ever since. When I wasn't working in childcare I was working in the restaurant industry, so serving others and multi tasking is in my nature. I believe children are unique people to be respected and given choices that guide their growth and development, as well as limits that maintain healthy exploration and safety. I have graduated from the ECE program at Cabrillo College and am a trained Montessori Guide for the ages 0-3. I have experience in many facets of care, and have developed a strong understanding of the young child and human development. I believe in gender neutrality and equality for young children, and in letting each child express themselves in ways that promote self esteem and confidence in joining their community.
