About Jessica

I've recently moved to the area, however I've been working with children for over a decade. I have been tutoring for over 5 years. I love when something that a child has been struggling with clicks and you see the lightbulb moment happen. I'd describe my personality as determined, organized, and creative. I like working with kids because they are so much fun. I love how they view life. My favorite part of working with children is watching the lightbulb moment when they understand the material. I started working with kids when I was a kid myself. I started babysitting my cousin when I was 10 years old. When I got to college I began working in a daycare and haven't stopped working with kids since. I've worked overseas as an English teacher and currently work as a second grade teacher. In my spare time, I like to read and spend time with my dog, Agatha. I love going to a bookstore and wander around and pick a (lot of) new books, including picture books.
