About Jillian

Hi, my name is Jill. I am a 33-year-old, wife of 10 years and a mommy to a 8-year-old and 4-year-old little princesses. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. My little sister and I are 9 years apart in age so I helped my mom a lot with her. That was great practice for me. In high school I would babysit for the chief of police in our town for after-school care and summer care. They were a great family to work for. After high school I attended Coastal Bend College where I was majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am just a few hours shy of completing my degree now. (I fell in LOVE!) While attending college I worked at It's a Small World Nursery School in Karnes City, Texas. In 2002 I decided to follow my boyfriend at the time (my husband now) to San Antonio where he was attending college. After moving, I found a daycare job right away. It was at Mi Casa Family Center. I was the lead teacher for ages 12 months to 24 months. It was a great job, but I realized I didn't like what went on at daycare centers. So I decided to quit and start babysitting in my home in 2003. I had 3 daycare kids leave the daycare setting for a more loving place. So since 2003 I have been babysitting in my home and wouldn't change it for the world.
