About Joan

I am a retired RN. I have 40 years experience caring for children and adults in home, school, psychiatric and hospital settings. I'd describe my personality as quiet, kind, patient. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy being around them, learning from them, and helping them to have the best life possible. I'm looking for a job that is part time, close to home and with hours that work with the needs of my family. I started caring for seniors when I took my first job in college at a nursing home as a nurse's aide. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, garden, read, walk my dogs to the beach. One thing you should know about me is that I am dependable and trustworthy and caring and flexible. I will care for your loved one as I would my own family. My skills include respecting the dignity and wishes of those I care for. Giving the best possible physical care. Contributing to positive mental health and social interaction for the client.
