About Joelle

I am a single mom of 3 amazing teenagers, 1 of whom is on the autism spectrum, and have taught children of all abilities, ages ranging from 0 to 17, for over 10 years. I currently am a lead teacher for action day schools in San Jose, where I am working primarily with preschool/pre-k aged children. I graduated with honors from Deanza college in Cupertino, CA, and received my AA- emphasis on Behavioral/Social Sciences. Most of my work experience has involved teaching preschool, ranging from play-based, balanced, and academic approaches. In my experience, I find a balanced approach to be most beneficial for young children, and I align my teaching style accordingly. I have extensive training with children on the autism spectrum, and inclusion in a main stream world is one of my biggest platforms of advocacy. If given the opportunity to work with your child, I will treat them as if they were my own. I know my children are my most precious gifts in this world, so our sentiments are mutual.
