About Joshua

Hello, I am a caregiver. I've worked at a senior care facility for about a year, working with assisted living for 4 months and memory care for about 8 months. I also have a Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. I have much respect for this population and what they've gone through. I feel that they have much wisdom I can learn from for my own life. I believe that the people I've met through caregiving have enjoyed this mindset because it builds a deep connection. Beyond my work experience, my wife and I volunteered in college at a senior home on campus. We engaged in fun activities with residents to lighten their week and connect through meaningful conversations. We have also volunteered at the senior home I worked at; playing games, coloring, and decorating with residents. I'm looking forward to working one-on-one with individuals. I've seen the benefit of personal time with residents and I support helping the resident emotionally as well as with ADLs and IADLs.
