About Joy

I have over 20 years of experience caring for and teaching children. I have two grown sons that I have homeschooled in elementary and middle school. I love to teach and take care of children. I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I also have taken 15 hours of Early Childhood Education courses, a 26-hour certificate for infant to elementary children, as well as six credit hours in Birth to Kindergarten certification classes at WCU. I have over five years of experience working with the elderly with Alzheimer's and Dementia. I also have experience working with the disabled, diagnoses of multiple sclerosis, and individuals needing medication management. I also love to take care of the animals. I have had many rescue dogs that I have taken care of and found good homes for them. I have a B. S. of Science degree and TEFL certification.
