About Julia

My name is Julia, I am 24 years old, from Southington, CT. I am currently pursuing a Masters program for mental health counseling and am looking to work while I pursue my degree. My background in psychology gives me a wider perspective on child development, which I believe is an asset in encouraging developmentally appropriate behaviors. With that, empathy and understanding are the foundation of how I work with others, especially children. I have always loved working with kids and have years of experience in both daycare and nannying settings. I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens, and feel comfortable with any age. I have an outgoing personality, and really enjoy making the little things in life fun. My priorities are making the child feel safe, respected, and listened to, while encouraging independence and social skills. It is important to me that I spend time engaging with the children and encouraging their likes and interests.
