About Julia

During my college years, I was a part time nanny for a family of 3 kids. This experience was invaluable; the 3rd was born during my time with them and I loved helping with him from infancy on. In 2018 I spent 6 months as a house mom for a children's home/orphanage in the Dominican Republic. I enjoyed helping care for all 20 kids, 4 of whom were under the age of 2. Most recently, I was a foster care counselor for children 3-18 for the last 3 years. My patience, love of fun, laughter, skills and child development knowledge all were of great use in each mentioned role. I am passionate about the importance of play in kids lives and love engaging kids as they grow and learn. My goal is to be a positive influence in the lives of each person I work with, and find joy especially in working with kids and helping families.
