Hello, I am a special education teacher looking to tutor this summer. I work with children ages Pre-k to 5th grade. This is my 10th year teaching. I have my masters in reading and enjoy teaching kids how to read. During the school year, I work with children whose abilities range from pre-reader to 6th grade. I get to know each and every child to understand their strengths and needs to plan my daily instruction. I have experience with children with special needs and reading disabilities. I use hands on learning and strategies to help children grasp concepts. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and taking long walks with my dog.
