About Kaitlyn

I am a child care specialist with 15 years experience being a teacher, mentor, playmate, faery, and caretaker for children. I am an expressive, adventurous and silly human and I love connecting with children in that way. I also love being creative and using my imagination. I began my journey working in a daycare center at 15 and after that, became an after school care teacher to a class of 4-year-olds. I then became a nanny while interning at 2 therapy clinics for children on the spectrum. The last family I worked for was with a sweet newborn and 4-year-old in Sebastopol. I am so grateful for the wealth of knowledge I gained from the last family I was with, especially in regards to working with new borns and the process of facilitating emotional growth when a child transitions from 3 to 5. I am in graduate school at CIIS where I will eventually become a somatics therapist in 2-3 years. In my practice, I hope to combine art therapy with dance and movement as well as embodiment.
