About Kaja

I've been working with children since I was 7 years old, first as a mother's helper, then as a babysitter as I got older. In high school, I was part of a program that allowed me to volunteer to tutor children from first to fifth grade. Last year I was a preschool teacher in Crested Butte for a Montessori school. Unfortunately I moved out of CB to Denver and started a full time job working for an exterior home remodeling company. I love my job but I miss working with kiddos. I'd love to just have a few hours a week to help a family on occasion for date night. I believe heavily in allowing children to have feelings. I never use the term "you're ok" I prefer "are you ok?" Because it allows them to feel and react accordingly. Children are such sponges and traumas are so easily acquired so I am very careful with how a child is approached and handled to make sure they always feel safe and comfortable and loved.
