About Karis

My experience as a babysitter started around age 14. I most frequently babysat for a family with 4 kids the youngest being 10 months and the oldest being 6 when I first began. I have had many other babysitting opportunities as well outside that family and am always eager to help any friends or family members needing a babysitter. One thing you should know about me is I have almost 3 years of experience as a registered nurse. While I have enjoyed my time as a nurse, I started in the middle of covid on the covid unit and feel it is time I step away from the hospital and use my caretaking skills in a new way. I have learned so many valuable medical and interpersonal skills that I think will lend themselves well to caring for kids. My child care skills include being able to listen well and communicate with kids on their level. Another skill I have in child care is critical thinking and decision making. One other child care skill I have is enthusiasm for kids and engaging with them.
