About Karissa

I have always had pets growing up and I have had a great interest in the behaviors of animals since I was a child. I am passionate about rescuing and helping animals in need. I graduated with a degree in wildlife science and conservation biology and have worked with animals since I was 15 years old. In my spare time, I like to go on hikes with my dog and do volunteer work at local animal rescues. I love to make music and explore new local food spots! I am a patient, open-minded person. I am a teacher which takes a lot of communication, patience and energy and you need all of those to work with animals! Working as a Kennel Manager at a Veterinary Hospital and at dog daycares, I have hands on experience with medical and behavioral issues, so I'm always able to respond to situations quickly and calmly. I have experience doing basic training with dogs so I can teach your pup some tricks and commands. I am happy to work with your animal if they are reactive with strangers or other animals.
