About Karissa

I have recently graduated with my doctorate in Occupational Therapy and have a passion for pediatrics. Apart from 6 months of providing skilled OT, I have experience as a respite worker with children, being an aid in a kindergarten classroom, and have years of experience babysitting children of family members and friends. With a creative and imaginative personality, I engage children in play that sparks their curiosity and imagination. My friendly and approachable nature makes me easily relatable to children, while my playful and goofy side brings laughter and joy to their day. Communication is key, so I keep parents informed about their child's day through written daily reports and verbal communication at pickup, always following their preferred method of communication. I believe in respecting household rules set by parents and follow their lead to ensure consistency for the children in my care.
