About Katherine

I am currently working full-time with a family. I'm open to some occasional weeknight or weekend sitting. I am a warm, fun-loving, and creative person with over 10 years experience as a caregiver. I became an aunt and God-mother at a young age, and grew up caring for kids. I have experience as a babysitter, nanny, and educator, and have cared for children as young as infants all the way through teenagers. With 7 years of teaching experience, 5 in public schools, I have taught children as young as two through adults. I am adept at relationship building and creating engaging and fun learning experiences. As a dance teacher, I attend annual CPR and concussion protocol certification classes. Additionally, I have also served on a care team as an attendant for an adult with disabilities. I have experience with transfers, meal assistance, driving an accessible van, and working with a service dog.
