About Katherine

Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a rising senior at Carnegie Mellon University and I have ALWAYS adored kids. I'm Red Cross certified in CPR for both children and infants and have nannied/cared for children ages newborn and up. This past year, on a gap year from school, I was a substitute teacher in Florida for grades K-12. I have an almost 5-year-old (non-biological, she's the child of some "chosen family" members) rambunctious and adorable "niece" who I've known since she was in utero and cared for since she was 3 months old. I've cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 8 years old, and feel comfortable caring for multiple children at once. I also have experience babysitting a child on the Autism spectrum over the length of 2 years. I'm flexible with time and know how to cook a wide range of healthy meals. Lastly, I pride myself on the ability to multitask and communicate effectively-- and my ability to keep calm under pressure in the throes of anything.
