About Kathryn

Hello! I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2014 with my BA degree in Spanish and a minor in Education. I've taught grades 6-12 in public school for over seven years. Currently, I am earning my M. Ed. in Bilingual and ESL education and want to focus on my studies full-time. With a toddler and pet of my own, I understand the anxieties that come with finding someone to caretake your loved one, whether it is a child or a pet. My approach towards children and animals is gentle, nurturing, and playful. I have a soft spot for working with children with learning differences, senior citizen dogs, and occasionally teach private swim lessons. I am also in the process of obtaining my postpartum doula certification. During my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga, going to the Austin Public Library, and taking road trips out to west Texas.
