About Katie

I have experience working in volunteer mentoring and after school tutoring programs with children and teenagers. Additionally, Ive worked with an organization called Reading to Kids, during which I led reading clubs in classrooms of elementary school children. I also did casual volunteer tutoring for my peers throughout my high school years. So most of my experience involves helping with homework, reading with children, providing a nurturing environment for mentees to learn and grow, and fostering strong relationships with the families that I work with. I absolutely LOVE working with children and families, and I love coming up with activities that could be fun and educational for children. I am also very responsible and hard working. Some of my other interests include singing, dancing, hiking, and poetry.
