I'm a first grade literacy teacher with DCPS, although I live in Fairfax, VA. I have been teaching going on my 7th year. I currently hold a Masters in Education. During the Pandemic, I began nannying and recovered my love of infants and toddlers. Throughout the pandemic I worked with a 6-month-old until she was 18 months old and a 5-month-old until she was 12 months old (cousins). During that time I used a lot of Montessori philosophies and self/care lessons starting in infancy. Prior to that, I taught Pre Kindergarten (4, 5, 6-year-olds) mostly using a mix of Montessori and traditional education. I have a passion for ages 0-3 as I believe that are such formative years. I am CPR & MAT certified.
