About Kayla

I have over 20 years of childcare experience, 12 of which were as a full time Nanny. I have worked in daycare, preschool & Montessori settings. The last family I worked with was full time for 2 children for over 7 years from infancy on. I have a 4-year-old son who will be with me when he's not in preschool in the afternoons. I live in a safe neighborhood within walking distance to trails, the waterfront, a splash-park & playgrounds. I love to incorporate music, arts & crafts, sensory activities as well as lots of outside playtime. I enjoy hands on learning experiences like baking or making playdoh or visiting the Children's Museum & library. I try to encourage imaginative play with limited to no screen time. I am well versed in sleep schedules & potty training. I do not smoke & I am CPR certified. I am very patient & have a lot of experience helping children regulate their emotions. I am really good at communicating with parents to make sure we are always on the same page.

I highly recommend Kayla as a caregiver for your children. Kayla has been watching my daughter for almost a year - since she was 4 months old. She is extremely reliable and flexible. Kayla was great with her as an infant and as she grew toddlerhood. She excels at teaching, playing and just a general fun time. Kayla is very respectful of maintaining my daughter's schedule and helping me transition her from one phase into another. She is cautious with her but also lets her explore and learn. Kayla always asks what else she can do to help me - whether it is cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc. You name it, she is there to help. Again, I have nothing but positive things to say about Kayla as a caregiver for our child.
