About Kayla

I cared for my grandfather from the time my grandmother passed away until he passed away. He lived down the street from me so it was easy to see him everyday. I would take him out to eat, play card games with him, listen to all of his childhood stories, make food with him, do laundry, wash dishes, clean the house, etc. I spent a lot of nights at his house when I was in middle school helping to take care of him. He was pretty independent, but I helped fill out his medicine case each week and remember important dates for doctors appointments. More than anything, he wanted company, so we could tell stories and laugh all day long. I love being able to share my experiences with seniors and hear about their life as well. I love being able to put a smile on their face or assist them with any activities that they need help with.
