About Kayla

For two years I held the position of Lead Toddler Teacher at a reputable Montessori school in downtown Seattle. There I managed staff, parent communication, and conflict resolution between children. I was responsible for tracking the children's developmental progress and daily activity, providing photographs of the children working within the classroom and out on the playground. Prior to becoming the Lead Toddler Teacher, I worked in preschool and toddler classrooms as an assistant. This involved following the instructions and suggestions of my Montessori trained lead teachers-- anything from group art projects to nap time layouts, emotion coaching or one on one requests! Since then I have taught at the reputable Harvard Avenue School, as well as the Greenwood Social Emotional Childcare Cooperative. My goal now is to work on a more personal level with families and explore teaching empathy and true personal joy to children through my various experiences!
