About Kiana

I like working with kids because I find it truly inspiring and hopeful to be helping and caring for the next generation. I started working with kids as soon as I was able. I was allowed to start babysitting my younger family members around 9 yo, and I was able to start babysitting around my neighborhood at 12. When I was 18 I was a camp counselor for a summer at Camp Invention, which was the first time I was caring for multiple children and I realized how rewarding it can be in a caregiver role. At 19 I got a job at an elementary school as an After School Care Teacher and was later promoted to Teaching Assistant. When I was 20 I moved on to be a General Educator at a preschool. It was at this job when I truly saw the beauty and preciousness in childhood. My skills include my patience, my tenacity for trying understanding the specific needs, quirks, and communication styles of every child I care for, and how much I truly care for them.
