About Kimberly

I do not have any professional experience in this area, but I am a certified K-9 teacher. Which means I show compassion, patience and problem-solving skills on a daily basis. I watched my uncle fight a 10 year battle with early-onset Alzheimer's. (diagnosed at 53). I walked the battle with her because her children couldn't handle the reality of the diagnosis. I provided support to my aunt while she was caring for him at home, then when he went to memory care, psychiatry hospital stay and eventually a long-term facility. I saw her desperately search for support for herself and her husband. Also, my dad was diagnosed with Huntington's disease, which is similar to Alzheimer's, and fought a courageous fight for 8 years. I provided support and care for him as my step-mom had to continue to work. I would love to spend my summer helping someone else and provide comfort to other caregivers when they need it the most.
