About Kristin

Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm a graduate of Maryville College with a degree in Child Development and Learning. I have three children of my own, a preteen a toddler, and an infant. I have spent some time in a K-12 classroom observing and assisting teachers, and I've worked in a child care center for the past five years, working with children ranging in age from 3 months to 12 years. I help children to learn through play and fun activities that focus on specific skills and that allow them have fun as they learn. Story time is my favorite part of the day. It allows me to get silly and have fun as I act out the different characters. Since working in a child care center, I try to incorporate the same strategies I used in the classroom to keep children engaged and learning. "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." - (my favorite quote).
