About Laura

Hi, my name is Laura. I am 24 years old and a recent college graduate with a degree in psychology. I have four years of recent work experience (not including the 10+ years of babysitting from my adolescence) with children of many different ages, including those with disabilities. My most recent job was with a company called ACES, where I worked with autistic children for about 7 months by going to their homes and running various programs with them to help them learn how to regulate their behaviors. This gave me a unique and important perspective in regards to working with children in general. I also worked for 3 years as a personal nanny to two different families while I was attending university. Not only am I well versed in caring for children and infants, but I always know how to find fun, creative and even educational activities to engage in. My main priority is always safety, but also forming connections and sparking joy.
