About Laura

I'd describe my personality as patient determined and kind. I like working with kids because it is exciting and makes me happy to see them grow and learn. I'm looking for a job that is part time. I would prefer tutoring and am willing to do remote tutoring over an online platform. I currently teach kindergarten and first grade resource/ special education. I love teaching beginning reading skills to my young students. I have many resources and over 20 years of experience. I started working with kids when I was a teenager. In my spare time, I like to read, jog, boating, watching my own children play sports and most of all spending time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I have high expectations for all of my students and celebrate their successes. My skills include engaging with children through play, nurturing children with kindness, and fostering their growth with high expectations.
