Laura applied to a job posting of mine where I indicated our family needs and ages of the children. She seemed great! Was very responsive and kind. We arranged to talk about dates to watch my children but a couple hours later, she messaged that "she only had infant experience with her nephew and finding someone else would be a better fit." I responded that it was disappointing but thanked her. While I appreciated her honesty, my wife and I were caught off guard and surprised as she was so eager to chat just two hours prior.. even wished us a happy pride which immediately put us at ease! Anyway, I'm leaving this note as a recommendation so any potential families are aware and not surprised with zero explanation as we were.
