About Lauren D

Care Experience: Throughout middle/high school/college I have babysat sporadically for neighbors and families of 1-4 children. I have had consistent exposure caring for and interacting with children of both friends and extended family members. In high school, I was a caregiver for a 60-year-old women with Multiple Sclerosis and a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) for both developmentally disabled adults and the geriatric population. I continued my CNA experience with geriatric adults in the long-term care setting during a couple summers during college. Education/Career Experience: I am currently graduating with my Master's in Speech Language Pathology in May 2023 from Kansas State University. Through my graduate experience and clinical internship I have interacted with numerous preschool and elementary aged children. I have worked to develop supportive relationships with my students while incorporating creativity and individualized intervention plans.
