About Laurie

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, compassionate and friendly. I like caring for seniors because it is important that people have dignity and care as they age. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help people with things they need done to be able to have quality of life. I started caring for seniors when I was in my 20's. I was the child of older parents. As they aged, I was stretched thin trying to support their needs and those of my family. I am currently helping support the needs of my older sister who lives in an assisted living facility. In my spare time, I like to garden and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I have been down the path of supporting aging parents and family members. While they say it takes a village to raise a child, our seniors need their villages too. My skills include I have patience, compassion and I don't get rattled easily. So many times older folks need a minute to be comfortable.
