About Leah

Hi! I'm Leah and I am a graduate of the University of Denver and have my Master's degree in social work! I plan to become a clinical therapist for children and teenagers because I am passionate about helping kids grow through any obstacles and discover their inner strength. I have extensive experience with child care, starting in high school as a party host and Camp Counselor, as a seasonal Assistant Teacher, as an intern for children on the Autism spectrum, Special Needs Shadow at the YMCA, working full time as a 1:1 Crisis Psycho-social Assistant at The Quad school, interning with a caseload of children ages 6-12 at Suncor Boys and Girls Club, and interning at a middle school working 1:1 with 6th graders. I love working with little ones because I believe they teach us a lot about life in how they play and see the world. My style is very nurturing and empathetic because I think building that relationship with any child is the first step to being a successful caregiver!
