About Leandra

I'd describe my personality as creative, caring, and a little bit wacky. I like working with kids because I'm a big kid at heart and because I had a lot of adults invested in my life and it made me feel loved, cared for, and special. I want to give the feeling to other children. I'm looking for a job where I can play with kids but still be the adult when the time comes. I started working with kids when I was 10. I was working with preschoolers at my church. I got a paid position when I was 16. I quit working in churches to foster five behavioral foster kids for a few years. Then I worked in ABA with kids with autism. Now I work as a para educator for a special needs class room. In my spare time, I like to craft. I love to read, do puzzles and hike. One thing you should know about me is I don't drive. There are a lot of good qualities about me and I have a lot of ways to keep kids entertained. My skills include de-escalation, being goofy with the kids, and setting limits.
