About Leigha

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, friendly, caring. I like working with kids because I love to see them learn new skills, they are spontaneous with what they think and say, and I hope to make a positive impact on their lives. I'm looking for a job that allows me to do fun activities with children - zoo trips, museums, movies, parks, etc. I'm also looking for an opportunity to help children with their learning. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as a babysitter. In a formal education environment, I started in 1993. In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook, spend time with family and friends, watch an occasional movie, and do various crafting. One thing you should know about me is I am passionate about education. I love seeing children have that "lightbulb moment" when they discover a new idea. My skills include calming children down when they're upset, redirecting them to another activity, and behavior management.
