About Lindsey

I am a mechanical engineer by degree and spent 6 years working in industry before deciding to take a break in search of work that gave me more life satisfaction by bringing me closer to my community. I currently work as a substitute teacher favoring Math, Science, Special Education, and Emotional Support classrooms. I have found that I love working with kids in small groups or 1-on-1 the most. I spent 1. 5 months in the McKean Elementary Emotional Support classroom and am now often placed in other elementary school emotional support rooms because of my experience. I have seen a wide range of behaviors, anxieties, and the various ways kids display anger and frustration. I have worked with Autism, ADHD, gifted kids, and kids with learning disabilities. I have worked/volunteered for many STEM programs/camps demonstrating and teaching exciting kid friendly science experiments and projects. I have Federal and State criminal history clearances, FBI Fingerprints, and child abuse clearances.
