About Lyn

Hello! My name is Lyn and I am a mother to a 7-year-old, second grader. I currently work part time as a Detox Counselor. I am a full time grad-school student in a mental health counseling program. I am in the process of transitioning into (mostly) a stay-at-home mom so that I can focus on school and (most importantly) my family. Aside from my experiences as a mother, I have had prior experiences caring for children. When I was in undergrad (many years ago), I was a nanny to a little boy from when he was 6 yo to 9 yo. I helped with schoolwork and getting him to his extra curricular actives (lessons). I also helped with bath time and bed time. My last babysitting experience was working with another little boy who had ADHD, mild autism, and medical health problems. I watched him after school and ensured that he had something to eat. I helped him with minimal homework. I often helped with cleaning and occasionally administered some meds. We did play and learning activities.
