I have a total of 18 years experience dealing with seniors/geriatrics in two different settings. For the past 15 years I have worked as a dialysis technician providing acute care to those who have decreased kidney function. Prior to this job, I was doing in home health care private duty for seniors. I have experience with cooking, cleaning, providing companionship, setting up medications, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing & dressing), grocery shopping, transportation for medical appointments or a day outing, and engaging in playing games ie cards, memory games, board games yahtzee etc. As a dialysis technician I closely assessed the well being of my patient and took frequent vital signs intervening when needed if the patients condition deteriorated. I hold a CPR certification.
