Some of them stayed with us for over 2 years, in which that time we were not only their "homestay", but we acted more as parents; Attending each and every event, meeting, etc. at their school. I believe that treating everyone with respect and love is very important regardless of their age, I also believe in guiding children in a structured setting is indispensable to help them develop for a successful life.
