I am warm, caring, and communicative, with sympathy for disabled elders. I believe it is crucial to help them live their days with dignity, comfort, and meaningful interactions. I have 10 years experience caring for the elderly with conditions including dementia, heart failure, terminal cancer, diabetes, respiratory problems, and stroke. Experienced with transferring weak or hemiplegic patients from bed to wheelchair (or reverse) using body mechanics. Familiar with use of oxygen, care of feeding tubes, wound dressings, skin care, and medications with appropriate supervision. Can use Hoyer lift, Sit to Stand lift, Qstraints, and wheelchair van. I maintain all activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, toileting, feeding, and rehab exercises. Light housekeeping, cooking, and laundry provided as needed. Licensed driver, can take patient to appointments as needed. HHA license. References on request. Flexible hours.
