I like caring for seniors because I like to talk to people and learn. I find that seniors have a wealth of experience that I can learn from. I enjoy helping and seniors, as opposed to children, can generally tell you what they want and need. I spent quite a bit of time with my grandparents near the end of their life as well as other seniors in my community and making their lives easier was very rewarding for me. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work with someone part time but long term. I have a full time job but my hours are flexible and I am looking to supplement my income doing something that is a genuine need for people. Ideally I could work 20 hrs per week in the evenings and during the day and afternoon on weekends. I started caring for seniors back in high school when my grandmother developed breathing issues. I assisted her with cleaning, food preparation, errands and light personal care (hair, nails).
